About
{a little about me & what I do}
The first desire to be a photographer came when I was a little ten year old girl with my very first camera and two cousins willing to be my models. I coordinated their outfits to the umbrellas and even forced them to hold two skittish kittens while I got the shot. I may not ask you to hold kittens that don’t want to be held but I will ask you to be fully alive in who you are and rejoice in what you love. I long to translate the joy I see into an invaluable piece of art your children’s children can look at and find out more about themselves though the legacy you passed onto them. I LOVE and am inspired by simplicity, the beauty of the earth, my husband, my God, anything vintage, the covenant of marriage, knitting, the warmth and energy of a child, prairies, eclectic personalities, faithfulness, healthy home cooked food, good music, love and unity between a family, stillness, pure laughter, organic farms, and those who are confident to let go of their worries and embrace their individuality{in no particular order}!
I want to participate with you in your joy and then give back my joy in photographic form. I immensely enjoy photographing all of life’s moments during any season and would be honored to document any you have in mind. I especially have a heart for weddings. I love the self expression the couple brings out in their details and the vulnerability and selflessness of giving yourself to another person. I remember fondly the moment that I sat in the bridal room, listening to music preformed by dear friends, and seeing my fathers smile as we waited for my turn to walk down the isle. I remember when the Pastor had every guest laughing to start things off, when we put on our wedding bands(or… I struggled to get his on over the knuckle), and when Jordan kissed me for the first time as husband and wife. These are precious memories to me and without photographs to gush over they would slowly fade. No amount of my wedding planning would have been worth it unless I had fabulous photos to share and remember why I worked so hard for my special day. My wedding photographs are priceless.
